100 - Post #100 means only 1 Month Left!

Dang mom! You sent a short message this week!!

But first off, no I didn't die yet. And I don't get it!!!! Sickness has been like my hardest thing here. But at home I never got sick!! So that kinda stinks... but this week we didn't do much. I was still at home sick a lot. My sickness is starting to go but my stomach was still killing me with pain. To the point of not being able to sleep at all. So it was fun! But today I feel a tid bit better. I hope I get better. I hate having to stay in the house.  It sucks. I feel bad about it.. I know I shouldn't push it too hard with health things... but I want to visit the people. It would be great to get a baptism my last week. But we will see what happens.. But I'm getting there... so other than that not much happened.

I'm in charge of p day in 3 weeks. So my idea is go to a waterfall in my area and make hobo dinners! But this is the catch.. it's going to be with teriyaki chicken. Special shout out to mom and granny for teaching me that. Yes mother, your child is kind of known as a cooking guru in this country. So it will be pretty awesome!!! I'm really excited about it. Is it bad that I get excited for cooking? So get that stove ready for when I get home. I'm gonna go crazy!!! Haha

But honestly nothing happened this week. Kinda stunk.. But sometimes it happens. I love you. I hope things go well. And oh big thing.. I need another one of those CTR rings. In multiple languages.  Size 7.. another member wants one... if you could help me it would be great!!! And just bring it when you come... I love you mom! Stay sweet! 2 years of no hugs will soon be over!

99 - Sick... Again.

My comp got here, which was good. He is called Elder C. I knew him about a year ago in Colon. My friend, Elder K. trained him. So that’s pretty cool. But I had another hard week. Lucky little Jake got sick again! I had been sick for 4 days so far so I went to the doctor.  They sent me to the hospital to get blood and ‘other’ samples. Most awkward thing of my life mom!!!!!!! But ya…all in the name of health... so that was fun! I have been dehydrated pretty much every day. But I’m drinking a ton of water and gatorade. So there isn’t really anything I can do about it. So that was our Sunday. We just had doctors stuff all day. And we didn’t get home until midnight.  So ya! Great Sunday.

There isn't a mission driver. But there are a few options. There are elders that live like 5 minutes from the airport. Maybe I can stay with them. But idk. I’ll call my president today and see what he says. We will see! But if you guys are in Panama, I am definitely not staying another night without you! So when you guys come we can start here in Panama City. Yes it would be worth going to Boquete. It’s awesome! !!!! But I only know a few little things we can do up there. You guys should decide on something you want to do up there and I can plan the other parts. But yeah. San Blas islands are super hard to get to and sometimes the boats don’t even go out… so it’s tough... So yeah. So we could do first day in Panama, second day in Boquete and 3rd in Chorrera. We will see! But ya. .

Other than that we did a service again.... and it was open up a septic tank hole. Again. ..... I’m kinda tired of that one... but hey! It gets people to like us more... but that’s about it! Nothing huge happened his week. Just more sickness.  But other than that things are good. Just trying to get better so we can work.  But I’m glad things are going well! I love you!!!

98 - Baptism Week!

Haha mom you are so cute!!!  And I hope that you enjoy that day off! But you are just going crazy with new stuff now!!!

But we gotta figure it out…so you guys are getting in to Panama at midnight? I could take a taxi there that night. And what time are we leaving on Sunday? And has dad made any plans yet on things we are going to do?

But this week was horrid... but so fulfilling... So Carnavales went to Wednesday. Then Thursday everyone went home. So we had 3 opportunities to do service. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.  And they all had to do with digging huge pits!  So lets just say I’ve got a nice lobster color to me! Haha but forreal. But other than that nothing big happened until Saturday. The whole week we were also saying bye to everyone for my comp so it was a little crazy. But Saturday we had the baptism.  And it was great! We actually got there a few minutes late because we were doing that service project... but it’s Panama. Everyone came like 30 minutes late too.

Haha thanks for the help dad! And I’m glad things are going well. I had a good week. It was one of the hardest physically and my body is kind of giving out. I sleep at like 9:30 and wake up at 6:45. I can’t do any better than that... it’s a little rough.  So tonight I’m shooting for 9:00 as bed time..

But yeah.. so we gotta figure out what we are going to do while you’re here! And I’m glad CH is getting used to the new house. He always has pretty much lived with us anyway! Haha so yeah... that’s about it. I love you! Keep me updated!

97 - Grease Monkey

Haha yes mom. This is your long letter! Don't worry.. but this week stunk! I don't know if you remember but Carnival started last week. There has been about 0 people...There was literally like 10 people in the area! So that was fun.

Thanks for the advice dad...it was well needed! But we have 2 baptisms planned. 1 for this Saturday and another for the 16th.. so that's a good thing! !!!

But I'm glad things are going well and the house is cool!

Since there wasn't anyone home, we had some cool service opportunities this week.  We start with the car... so a member has had a lot of problems with a car and they were like hey you wanna take a look? After explaining that I knew my fair share about cars, we set up another day to go back.  And little middle child pulled out a you win the jackpot card. I fixed it practically on my own! It wasn't getting gas to the engine so I stared with the fuel pump and filter and worked my way back. And after much shuffling on the ground and some nice grease on my shirt (it felt so good to have it again) I realized the filter was old and needed to be replaced.  The fuel was bad and we had to change it out and clear the line and clean out the injectors.  So after some gas in my mouth and on my shirt,  I did it!!!! Haha it felt so good!  I was so glad that my uncanny knowledge of cars has actually helped someone in need! And it took a solid 4 and a half hours... so it was fun!

Haha and then Saturday we had another service. We had planned to pick some dirt but we got there and we got to grind corn to make tortillas and such things!  So it was pretty fun actually! And then Saturday and Sunday we went to San Miguelito to say bye to the members that my comp knew... so it was pretty fun!

But that's about all this week.  No one comes back until Wednesday so ya! It's gonna be fun!
But I felt so good helping! I love working on cars and other things. It's something my car knowledge and years in the farm taught me!!! But I love you! Have a good week!

96 - A week with service

So it was a busy week. So Tuesday we had district meeting and then we went to go help a member in her house. Then we went to a baptism of other missionaries.  Then Wednesday we had the meeting with Elder Christofferson in the city. We got home kind of late.  And exhausted. So we took a quick snooze and then went to visit a convert. We are baptizing her granddaughter the 13th. Then Thursday we had interviews with president. And we talked about you guys coming. He said when you guys get here I can just grab a taxi to the hotel to group up with you. Anyway, we had to go get glasses for my comp. Luckily I was the one who helped him figure it out. It was causing him a lot of headaches and stuff. Then Friday was service with the bishop moving dirt for him and that took a good 5 hours. Then Saturday was another one! We had to flatten an area of dirt and use the dirt to fill in a hole...that one was rough.  The dirt was hard and rocky. All we had was 2 shovels and 2 pick axes so it was fun!

But other than that his week was mainly used to try and gain conference with the bishop and other members.  And what better way than to serve!!! But this week we are hoping for better we will see! And fyi.. I can fit the small bag and all my stuff in the big one.. but ya just had to test it! Haha I love you mom... and tell Booga I got her something in the town fair! She will like it!
